2025 winners, Swansea University, delivering their scenario at ASPiH Bournemouth. Four shortlisted teams will have the same chance to shine in Harrogate this November.

What is Student-Sim Stars

Student-Sim Stars is a collaboration between iRIS and ASPiH that gives pre-qualifying students the chance to design, build and deliver their own simulation scenario — and have it recognised by the UK's leading simulation community. Teams get free access to the iRIS Student-Sim platform, expert support, and the chance to present at the ASPiH 2026 conference in Harrogate.

What's happening this year

Open to all health and social care pre-qualifying students

Any team of up to four pre-qualifying students can enter.

Scenarios should be built around the next era of simulation.

The stage

Four shortlisted teams will be supported to attend and deliver their scenario at the ASPiH 2026 conference in Harrogate.

What you need to do

    Form a team

    Up to four (4) pre-qualifying students and a designated facilitator.

  2. 2

    Design one simulation scenario

    No longer than ten (10) minutes, focused on enhancing the capabilities of the future workforce in health and social care which incorporates one element of ASPiH's professional development framework.

    Register below

    We'll send your team logins and your scenario link.

Once you're registered, you'll receive:

  • iRIS login emails for each team member and their Facilitator
  • An email containing a link to your team's scenario in iRIS
